The new church of Saint Mary of the Graces

The new church  of Saint Mary of the Graces was inaugurated in 1959. Reportedly Padre Pio was not happy with it's size and called it "a mousetrap" and "a matchbox".

The hall was located in the cloistered area between the old and new wings of the convent.
The St. Francis hall is so called because of a fresco painting by the local artist Antonio Ciccone.
